About Us

Cwm Taf Morgannwg RAYNET, formed in 2021 consists of IT Enthusiasts, professionals and licensed Radio Amateurs and are part of the national charity RAYNET-UK

Using the combined knowledge of our diverse team, we look to put together a readily-available package of data connectivity to bring coverage from the perimeter of a communications outage in to the epicentre of activity, right up to the desks of a Control Room. We are putting together a range of services including telecommunications, secure digital radio, internet connectivity and incident management systems, we will even supply PCs, VoIP handsets and WiFi Access Points.

Our network is ready-to-go, pre-configured to provide both public WiFi access alongside a segregated, secure network for operational communications.

We are always on the look-out for enthusiastic volunteers to join us, we welcome licensed Radio Amateurs, those with an interest in communications that would like to learn more and IT professionals that have some spare time and knowledge they can spare.

Established to research and implement on-demand and resilient emergency communications, delivering voice and data services in times of need.
Covering the Cwm Taf Morgannwg area of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Bridgend and Merthyr Tydfil.
